What you’ll learn
Presented with our agency partners, the 2-day course discusses the principles of sustainable trail development, looks at how to solve common problems encountered in trail maintenance, and provides hands-on experience with different tools used in building and maintaining trials.
The course is largely field-based and gives participants practical training that they can use to build and maintain trails.
Organizations that wish to get involved with the Adopt-a-Trail program are strongly encouraged to attend.
Agenda
Day 1: We’ll spend the half of the day in the classroom learning the basic concepts of sustainable trail development and general trail maintenance. Afterwards, we’ll head outside to go over various types of tools and start practicing the concepts we learned in the classroom.
Day 2: We will spend the second day in the field practicing the concepts learned on day one.
