The team at the Taos Community Foundation

Adopted Trail: Trail 18

Year Adopted: 2024

What motivated you to adopt your trail?

“We wanted to give to the community in combination with having a “team connecting day” to get outdoors, since we spend so much time inside in front of the computer.”

What has been the most rewarding part of being in the AAT program?

“What we hoped for happened. It is a wonderful time together, enjoying the beauty of northern New Mexico, and we look forward to the next time to get our hands dirty again!”

What does your organization do? What’s your mission?

“With the help and support of many individuals and organizations we work on fulfilling our mission to foster and encourage private philanthropic giving to improve the quality of life in our communities. The breadth of our work can be simplified to gathering, stewarding and sharing community resources.”

What are your hopes and goals for the 2025 trails season?

“We hope to get to the trail a few times in 2025, to continue to p/u trash and make sure the trail is in good shape.”

Favorite trail?

“Well, right now that of course is Trail 18.”

Favorite tool?

“Both the Folding Saw and the McLeod were new to us, and we enjoyed using them to clear the trail in a few spots.”

How can folks get involved with or support your organization?

“Donations of any size are welcome. Here is a link to our website: https://www.taoscf.org/donate/
