Eileen has been working in the education sector for more than 25 years. She served as executive director of the Yaxche School; program director at Citizen Schools, independent education program design consultant, Taos Academy School board director, and last but certainly not least, a classroom teacher. As Head of Program Innovation and Support; Eileen oversees the design and implementation of Impact strategies, new Playworks services, and the development of resources for our partners. As a longtime resident of Taos, she’s passionate about playing in the outdoors. Eileen has been involved with ECTA since its inception and is excited to support efforts to educate and encourage our community to engage deeply with the trail systems around the Enchanted Circle.

Johnny has operated a metal fabrication business in Taos for many years and is now retired and manufacture and repair fine clocks. He has been involved with the Taos Saddle Club as unofficial “Trail Boss” since its inception in the 1990s. Johnny has ridden around with his wife, Pam, around much of the high country of Northern New Mexico. He has spent many hours clearing trail downfall as a necessity to getting where he wanted to go. He joins the ECTA board to help maintain public awareness of many trails and incredible variety of public lands we have access to here in the Taos area; happy trails!

Rene has been nurtured by Nature his whole life. He’s been blessed and raised heading into the hills five out of the seven early mornings with his Grandfather hunting and fishing. Slowly, after years of listening and feeling the nature around him, he realized just how much it is a gift. Rene was a Pro Ski Patroller and an Alaska smokejumper, and then eventually became a Fuels Management Officer for his home, Taos Pueblo. He now advocates for connections to nature and home; moments where we’re able to give back and care for our Earth. “Trails are access to Nature and to our Souls”
