What you’ll learn
Wilderness First Aid courses are designed for outdoor enthusiasts and are the perfect training for anyone interested in doing volunteer trail work.
This comprehensive training focuses on prevention, assessment, and treatment of environmental illnesses, recognizing and stabilizing life threats caused by trauma, and properly calling for a rescue during a wilderness emergency.
Organizations that wish to get involved with the Adopt-a-Trail program are strongly encouraged to attend.
Agenda
Day 1, 8 AM – 4:30 PM: The first day will focus on life-saving interventions, identifying life threats, performing a primary assessment, practicing CPR, and learning how to stop the bleed.
Day 2, 8 AM – 4:30 PM: The second day will focus on wilderness first aid and practicing scenarios in the field.
