With the days getting shorter and shorter and the temperatures getting colder and colder, the winter months can make it hard to get outside. Our physical and mental health can sometimes take a toll which is why it's important to continue to do our best to get outside this winter season.Over the next couple of months we'll be highlighting different recreation areas and winter accessible trails in the Enchanted Circle region to help you stay motivated and plan your winter adventures.And to set you up for success, we'd like to remind everyone to stay safe this winter season by:❄️ Staying warm and dry by properly layering in non-cotton clothing. ❄️ Staying on top of hydration. You may not feel as thirsty when it's cool, but drinking water is still as important as it is in the summer.❄️ Eating a little extra and bringing more food than you normally would. Food is the fuel your body burns to stay warm in addition to the fuel it needs to be active.❄️ Knowing the signs and symptoms of hypothermia and frostbite.❄️ Leaving a detailed itinerary of your adventure plans with a trusted and responsible friend.Have any other tips or recommendations for staying safe and warm this winter?
