As the sun set on the Taos Ski Valley after the exhilarating Bull of the Woods races, there was a palpable sense of accomplishment in the air. This event, with its challenges and triumphs, would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our incredible volunteers.

First, a massive shoutout to all 44 volunteers who took time out of their schedules to make this event a roaring success. From the early birds who helped with registration to the tireless souls distributing food, every contribution was invaluable.

To our course monitors and those at the aid stations, your vigilance ensured the safety and well-being of every participant. A big salute to our drivers, who ensured that people and supplies reached their destinations seamlessly. And to those who stood at critical sites, cheering and guiding, you were the heart and soul of the race. Your enthusiasm was infectious, and your guidance ensured that no one lost their way (for too long).

The Bull of the Woods races are not just about the thrill of the race; they’re about community, camaraderie, and the joy of being on the mountain.

The 2023 Bull of the Woods races are a testament to the collective effort of our volunteers. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and hard work left an indelible mark on this event. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We look forward to seeing you again next year for another fun day on the mountain!
