β€œField Institute of Taos utilizes this trail network for a variety of program offerings including hiking, camping, and mountain biking. The trails are beautiful, fun and needed some attention.”

What has been the most rewarding part of the AAT program?

β€œThe reward is in the joy and happiness of trail users enjoying outdoor recreation.”

What does your group do? What is your mission?

β€œField Institute of Taos provides hands on experiential learning and outdoor recreation opportunities for youth, in order to develop a strong sense of place.

We strive to grow our community of engaged, resilient, and inquisitive children and families
with opportunities for ALL children to experience the beauty, connection, and wonder of nature
while developing a healthy, active lifestyle.”

What are your hopes and goals for the 2025 trails season?

β€œThat we get enough moisture to keep the forest open! 

F.I.T. hopes to keep the trails at Amole free of downed logs and to fix an area that needs better erosion control.”
