Despite severe federal budget and personnel cutbacks, our trails are looking the best they ever have. That's largely due to ECTA's robust Adopt-A-Trail program, Youth Conservation Corps crew, and strong volunteer base. Help us keep up the momentum and make a donatio#trailsconnectuss#enchantedcircletrailsr#enchantedcirclen#nmoutdoorsn#nmoutside##nmtrued#trailsu#trailmaintenancea#nmtrails #taosa#NewMexico##trailbuildingi#getoutdoorse#donatenow#donatenow ... What has ECTA's Youth Conservation Corps crew, in partnership Rocky Mountain Youth Corps - New Mexicoexico, been up to these past couple of weeks? They've been working extremely hard to maintain our beloved trails by:📸 1: Learning the art of crosscutting and logging out a portion of the Deer Creek trail.📸 2: Improving the first switchback on the Deer Creek trail by widening and leveling it.📸 3: Widening narrowed and eroded sections of the Deer Creek trail.📸 4: Cutting back encroaching vegetation from the first 1.5 miles of the Columbine Canyon trail and 0.5 miles of the Deer Creek trail.📸 5-6: Widening narrowed and eroded sections of the North Boundary trail and cutting back encroaching vegetation. They've been doing an awesome job this season, and we couldn't be more gratef#trailsconnectusp#enchantedcircletrailsn#enchantedcirclei#nmoutdoorse#nmoutsidem#nmtrues#trailss#trailmaintenancel#nmtrailsa#taosa#NewMexicoi#trailbuildinge#getoutdoorsu#YCCn#AmeriCorpsors #YCC #Americorps ... Thank you to the Taos Ski Valley employees who went above and beyond last Friday by coming out to maintain the Williams Lake trail 👏Together, TSVI and ECTA finished up a trails project that we had started last fall: rehabilitating and naturalizing an eroded and muddy area of the trail. We put the finishing touches on the project by:🌱 Setting rocks to naturalize the area and to discourage folks from walking on and disturbing the restoration process🌱 Spreading Forest Service approved alpine grass seed mix🌱 Mulching the grass seed with nearby decomposing logs🌱 Improving drainage throughout the length of the trailNow we need your help in manifesting some monsoons so our little grass babies will grow 🤞#trailsconnectus #enchantedcircletrails #enchantedcircle #nmoutdoors #nmoutside #nmtrue #adoptatrail #trails #trailmaintenance #nmtrails #volunteer #taos #NewMexico #trailbuilding #getoutdoors ...
