📢 Call to action! 📢We need YOUR help advocating for safer streets for pedestrians and cyclists along US 64 between the Blinking Light and Tres Piedras.Let the NMDOT know that we would like to see:🚲 An 8-foot shoulder the entire length of the project, with at least 6 feet of a usable shoulder for pedestrians and cyclists🚶🏽‍♀️ A separated bicycle and pedestrian path from NM 150 to the High BridgeWhy do we need these improvements?🗸 They would provide critical safety infrastructure: for ten years New Mexico had the highest pedestrian fatalities in the nation and cyclist fatalities doubled from 2024 to 2025. 🗸 The need has already been identified in the NMDOT New Mexico Prioritized Statewide Bicycle Network Plan.🗸 They would provide safe, alternative transportation for local commuters and recreationists.For more information on the project or to submit a comment visit www.dot.nm.gov/event/tres-piedras-to-taos/#trailsconnectus #enchantedcircletrails #EnchantedCircle #nmoutdoors #nmoutside #nmtrue #trails #nmtrails #nmtrue ...
