The Questa to Red River Trail (Q2RRT) is a proposed trail between these two communities in the Enchanted Circle. The project was the brain-child of the Carson National Forest, the Village of Questa and the Town of Red River. ECTA has been instrumental in moving the process forward. We are now beginning the NEPA process, and this is the first of several opportunities for the public to comment on this exciting opportunity.
This initial round of comments are due by Feb. 13, 2025.

- I enjoy recreating, fishing, hiking, or climbing along the Red River and am excited by the better access that this trail will provide to the National Forest.
- This trail will be a positive force for our community, providing a safe opportunity for folks to exercise and travel between these two municipalities while staying off of the busy highway.
- As a small business owner, I appreciate the value this trail will bring to our community by providing more reasons for folks to stay and shop in our community.
- As a resident of the community, this trail would enable my kids and I to have easy, safe, and close-to-home access to our public lands.
- The sustainable design and infrastructure of this trail would be a huge improvement to the local ecology and is a creative and beneficial way to restore the land after the molybdenum mine.
