The sudden and illogical firings of federal workers is a huge hit to public safety. Some public lands agencies employ their own search-and-rescue (SAR) teams comprised of staff who are highly trained in wilderness medicine and field rescue. We have more exciting news for the future of trails in the Enchanted Circle: the Village of Taos Ski Valley (VTSV) is very pleased to announce that it is the recipient of an Outdoor Recreation Trails+ Grant from the New Mexico Economic Development Department’s NM Outdoor Recreation Division 👏 They will be using these grant funds to support the development of the first ever comprehensive plan for trails, parks and recreation in the VTSV; extensive community input will be solicited to guide the plan.Some of the funds will also support much-needed trail maintenance within the village perimeter and the development of a signage strategy and plan (in collaboration with ECTA) to enhance visitor experience in the Enchanted Circle region.#trailsconnectus #enchantedcircletrails #enchantedcircle #nmoutdoors #nmoutside #nmtrue #trails #trailmaintenance #nmtrails #taos #newmexico #trailbuilding #NMOutdoorRec #TrailsPlusGrant #getoutdoors #NMOutside ...
