Escape the summer heat and come explore the lush, beautiful Yerba Canyon with the Taos Women's Outdoor Adventurers!☀️ Please RSVP by emailing taosbabysitting@gmail.com ☀️Details:☀️ When: Saturday, August 23rd at 8:30 AM (folks may come and go as they need, there's no requirement to stay the entirety of the workday)☀️ What to Expect: A day filled with fun and trail maintenance! Work will mostly consist of using loppers and hand saws to cut back encroaching vegetation and using pick mattocks and McLeods to improve drainage on the trail. The trail starts at 8,000' and steadily climbs while crossing the creek many times. We'll be hiking about 4-6 miles roundtrip depending on trail conditions.☀️ What to Bring: Please wear long pants, sturdy hiking shoes/work boots, work gloves, and eye protection (sunglasses okay). Bring a day pack with plenty of food and water (the trail follows a creek you can filter from), sunscreen, layers, and rain gear. *We will be on the trail all day and not returning to the cars for lunch*ECTA will provide the hard hats and tools. We hope#trailsconnectuse#enchantedcircletrailsn#enchantedcirclei#nmoutdoorse#nmoutsidem#nmtrues#adoptatrail##trails##trailmaintenancel#nmtrailsa#volunteer##taosi#NewMexicoe#trailbuildinge#getoutdoorsuilding #getoutdoors ...
